On August 31, 1998, 14-year-old Natasha Ryan disappeared in Rockhampton, Queensland. What followed was years of searching, a series of investigations, and eventually a memorial service held for the teenage girl who was believed to have been lost forever. Nearly five years later, on April 10, 2003, the entire case was turned upside down when police discovered Natasha, alive, hiding in the closet in a home in North Rockhampton. ¹
