I think aggregate analysis indicates that what happened was a B.D.S.M threesome which got out of hand, and the prosecution of Sid Vicious was vindictive. Mind you, I do NOT like the character of the man, and what kind of person is careless enough to get bitten by a hamster?
I just wanted to mention the book written by Nancy's mother. It's quite sad. She chronicles how difficult Nancy was, even as a baby. She caused pain to herself, to her family, and there didn't seem to be any way to reach her. Recommended.
I get intrusive thoughts from hearing about the Sex Pistols for them disrespecting authority: I am not a special snowflake, I criticize Trumpy the Clown based on his policies and crimes, not for him being unchristian. But I had to endure as a child my immature classmates who disrespected authority - I was a spoiled brat, but so were they - and I also endured kids' cartoons and books which disrespected authority: what made things worse is that my spoiled siblings and parents liked live-action television which disrespected authority, and my classmates liked films which disrespected authority. How DARE the Sex Pistols disrespect the Queen? How DARE the Sex Pistols' music be played at the stupid London Olympics, whose opening celebrated both the trash of the C.E. 19th and C.E. 20th centuries? The references on the awful show "The Simpsons" made it FAR worse.
The movement is still popular, partially because there have been no innovations in music since C.E. 2001. I would think in a few years time due to people growing up and C.E.Os being forced to make high-budget things and go b*lls to the wall, all popular music since minstrel culturally appropriated African-American music will cease to exist. Only guilty pleasures will remain: the blues, jazz, soft metal, reggae, and samba. Country and western and rock n' roll will remain popular amongst the alt-lite and alt-right, and Tupac Shakur and Biggie Smalls will remain popular amongst the Black Power, Brown Power, Red Power, Yellow Power, and Pink Power movements and such.
