Over the years much has been written about the American Mafia and many of its more prominent figures. From Al Capone to Lucky Luciano to John Gotti, the life and legacy of these men have been well documented. However, there have also been many less well-known organized crime figures who have made an impact on Cosa Nostra. For some of these individuals, it is difficult to find information or even a picture of them.
One such figure was a mysterious hitman known as “Buster From Chicago.” He is said to have appeared on the scene during the height of the “Castellammare War” in 1930. The war which took place in New York City was between two rival factions headed by Joe “The Boss” Masseria and Salvatore Maranzano.
